IPC standards are there to ensure quality, reliability, and consistency in electronics manufacturing

They cover nearly every stage of the electronics product development cycle, from design to assembly to packaging, however, sometimes your team may have a different understanding of what the basics are when it comes to soldering or handling.

And the basics are even more important in high performance electronics manufacturing because the margin for error is zero, your team must be producing a reliable product.

We offer training tailored to your organisation around soldering and handling – get the foundation right and build better competence from here.

Soldering training

Depending on what you are soldering, the function it will have and ultimately where it will end up will require different skills and knowledge levels.

You may think your job is to assemble circuit boards, but if you work in aviation, actually your job is to make sure you keep people alive!

The result of a faulty circuit board differs massively between a toaster not toasting and an aircraft falling from the sky.

Handling training

From smartphones we rely on daily to automotive electronics and medical equipment, electronics manufacturing handling underpins the devices we can’t imagine our lives without.

In this training, we look in particular at the delicate handling stage of component storage & PCB production. We outline key practices around cleanliness, ESD control and FOD control which support the production of effective components and the final device.

In industries where precision is paramount, mastering fundamental handling techniques is strategically crucial.
